It's the end of eras!  eri?  Whatever.

First, a shout out to all the beautiful peopo on the ACL blogring - shout out!  Kabbalah-like, it has gone from fringe population-dom to healthy following-dom.  ACL Tearers Unite!

...This segways nicely into the next topic which is, of course, knlogging.  The Knee is awesome.  Did some pretty high impact stuff at taekwondo yesterday and it felt great!  I was able to snap out my kicks, take off and land my jumps, ace the pivot-shift test, you name it!  My muscles are still somewhat shot from atrophy (um, and general slothfulness I suppose), but I feel like now that knee soreness isn't holding me down, it will be much easier to build the strength back up.  The one permanent result of this whole affair (besides a surgery scar that somewhat resembles a koala) is that I can't quite hyperextend my left leg.  I figure that's ok though.  It will add charm to my forms, like the alley cat with the kinked tail but a heart o' gold!  Thus closes the "6-month return to pre-injury levels of activity" chapter of the ACL Saga.  Only one chapter left - the "1-year feels like it never happened" chapter.  Coming soon!

And finally, a goodbye to xanga.  Good times were had, but I now long for the siren song of ad-free blogging and the cosmic power of html coding.  <br>! <i>! <q!xtlx!>!!  See y'all at blogspot!

Ah, California...

Waves CRAASH!  This is at a place with "North" in the name.  Not quite sure where, but it had a nice view of the Golden Gate Bridge, which is not pictured here.

Lothlorien.

The Wall at Kirkwood in Tahoe.  The first double black I have ever boarded.  West Coast Boarding was indeed everything I hoped for and more.

West Coast yellow eatin' be mighty tasty.  I loves me some azn cooking.

My life is actually busy these days!  A strange and foreign concept.  In one year, I will eat these words and they will taste like irony.

Anyways, the doings and happenings:
2/8: recruiting event at the big H.  Sell sell sell!
2/9: more recruiting at the big H, though this time I am at the opposite end of the table relative to 2 years ago.  Strange experience, that.  Interview interview interview.
2/12: Jet Blue to Oakland, CA!  Fly fly fly.
2/13: Hopefully will be in Tahoe - this will be my first time west coast riding.  Will it be everything I hope for and more?  Powder powder powder?
2/14: UCSF - interview interview interview, this time back on the side of the table that I am used to.
2/15: redeye redeye redeye.

The recruits are so bright eyed, bushy tailed, and driven by the raw desperation of needing to not be unemployed next year. I hope that their desperation to lock down future employment doesn't prevent them from making an informed decision, though I know it might. I've decided that recruiting puts me in a weird situation - I can't be both a recruiter, unconditionally selling my firm, as well as an advisor (which I am often apt to be), making sure that these people are informed and making the best decision for themselves. My firm, like most firms, is neither perfect nor terrible.  It seems false, only telling them the good and not the bad...but I guess that's just how the game is played.  Argh.  Man = 1, Dre = 0.

I am a one man sweatshoppin' MACHINE.  I rock!!  !!!

CD - if you want, I can mail you my iPod hoodie beta for the cost of shipping.  It's pictured below, and the same as the others except with a smaller hood and minus the daisy.

Ooo, doing business on xanga.  It feels unsavory...as if it should involve zoot suits somehow.  And someone named Johnny.  Who likes to talks like dis.
